So, come showtime Ed & I had prepped the class with 17" MacBook Pros & signed everyone in.

First  class one hour into it we hear, "Oh, my! I need to get the rest of the office in here for this!" At break this guy is on the phone calling to make room for his office staff to get into one of the classes. "You mean to tell me you're doing this all in RAW?!" Ed, "Yes, you don't have to shoot jpegs anymore & we haven't destroyed any pixels in the process."

For we Final Cut Pro users who are accustomed to working with instruction files like the Project File, Aperture is an easier transition since we feel more comfortable with instruction files, they've been with us since FCP inception 1999. Photoshop users have a harder time with this technology not having been exposed to it but mention that we are editing our images without doing SaveAs or having multiple copies of the same files bloating & hogging our hard drives & they're like "What the?!" Ed, "Yes, that's right. We have made several Versions of the photograph & each Version is only 12-16k or so in size." Jaws are on the floor.

After the Aperture Test Drive, Chicago photographer, Natalie Ginele, from Photograph X Memory  http://photographxmemory.net/ took me out to see & listen to the sights & sounds of the Windy City, thank you, Natalie!!!

This is it for now.

Until next time!
